Then, on an ordinary afternoon when you aren’t expecting much, a tiny piece of cobalt blue may appear between two wet stones.

That’s part of the appeal.

Every genuine piece represents a combination of human history and natural change.

Someone once manufactured the glass.

Someone used it.

Somehow it entered the water.

Then waves, stones, sand, and time erased its sharp edges until it eventually returned to shore as something completely different.

Storms don’t create that story overnight.

They simply rearrange the pages.

So after the next coastal storm, wait until the shoreline is safe, check the tide, put on your boots, and walk slowly.

The ocean may have uncovered something worth finding.
