Let’s Make a Fluttery Friend: Construction Paper Butterfly Craft!

Paper butterfly | OnlyZoia

Hey there, little artists! 🎨 Are you ready to create a beautiful butterfly that will make your imagination soar? Let’s get crafting!

What You’ll Need:

  • Colorful construction paper
  • Scissors (ask a grown-up for help!)
  • Glue stick
  • Markers

Let’s Create Our Butterfly!

  1. Make the Body:
Take a strip of construction paper (any color you like!) and roll it into a tube. This will be your butterfly’s body. Glue the edge to keep it together.
  2. Create the Wings:
Fold a piece of construction paper in half. Draw half a butterfly wing shape on one side, then cut it out. When you unfold it, you’ll have a perfect pair of wings!
  3. Attach the Wings:
Glue your wings to the body tube. Make sure they’re centered so your butterfly can “fly” straight!
  4. Draw a Happy Face:
Use your markers to give your butterfly a smiling face on one end of the body tube. Don’t forget the eyes!
  5. Add Some Flair:
Decorate your butterfly’s wings with dots, swirls, or any patterns you like. The more colorful, the better!
  6. Make It Sparkle (optional):
If you have some glitter glue, add a bit of sparkle to your butterfly’s wings. It’ll look magical!

Time to Play!

Your butterfly is ready to fly! Hold it up and make it dance through the air. Can you make up a story about where your butterfly is going?

Butterfly Display Idea: Hang your butterflies from the ceiling with string to create a fluttery mobile. It’ll be like your very own butterfly garden indoors!

Remember, every butterfly is special, just like you! 🦋 Have fun creating your unique fluttery friend!
