Hello June 2017! I can’t believe the year is halfway over and another Ipsy bag in hand already. This month it appears I only received ONE full sized item in my monthly glam bag. I was a tab bit disappointed as I love full size items but overall still impressed with what I did receive! For those of you that are new to Ipsy the cost is $10 a month for five sample and/or full sized products and a makeup bag to boot! The products you receive is based on your own personal profile so there are many variations in the monthly boxes. Now on to the items!
FIrst off is the adorable bag – love, love, love it this month! It is a tan canvas bag with white polka dots and big, red, juicy lips on the front of the pouch. It is so cute and I definitely plan to keep this one for myself.
Included in this month’s bag was Delectable Triple Moisture Body Lotion in Coconut & Cream. It was 2oz size and has a value of $3.50. It has an inner seal if you’re looking to do any online swaps! I tried the cream today and it feels very light. Personally, I like a thick, heavy cream because my skin is so dry — but I think this will be great to carry around in my purse for quick hydration. Some of the cool stuff about this lotion is it is cruelty-free, vegan, gluten free, GMO free, paraben free, and natural ingredient driven. It is made in Canada but smells like something from a tropical island! Strong hints of fruity coconut and sweet cream.
Next is theBalm Balm Springs Long-Wearing Blush in a rosy-blush shade. It comes in at .8 grams and has a value of $3. I’m not a big fan of blush, but swiped some on my wrist to show you how deep the color is. I have very fair skin, tried this and felt like a clown. So, it will go to a coworker or friend a-sap.
This bag included Doucce Maxlash Volumizer Mascara – this weighed in at 6ml and has a value of around $10 from what I can tell. It comes with a wide, think brush that is described as “chubby” and supposed to leave no lash behind. I tried it and because the brush was so short and stubby, I didn’t like it at all. I like a long, skinny brush and this just wasn’t for me.
I love a good lippy and this month I received Vasanti Power Oils Lip Gloss in shade “Supermom”. This weighs in at 2.3 grams and has a value of $7.00. I love this one! It is a mauve nude that I believe could work with any skin tone. The gloss goes on smooth and doesn’t feel sticky or cakey like some of the long-lasting ones. It is perfect for summer and for those days when you want to go sans-makeup except for a little gloss. I’ve already worn it twice in two days.
Finally is my favorite item that arrived in my bag – a FULL SIZE Margaret Dabbs London Treatment-Enriched Nail Polish in Green Daylily with a value of $18! I was so happy — at yet so sad — when this arrived. The bottle was dented and damaged and polish had oozed out into the lid and on the side of the bottle. THANKFULLY, Ipsy was awesome and replied to my email within an hour letting me know they would be sending a replacement right away! I was so happy and pleased with their customer service. The polish is in a beautiful dark jeweled jade green hue which is another summer must have!
Overall this bag had a value of around $42. I love the lippy, nail polish, body lotion and the adorable bag that it came in so I’m super excited to use my new finds and see what is in store next month!
