Football
1) Chain 2, 2 single crochet in 2nd chain from hook, chain 1, turn
2) 2 single crochet in 1st stitch, single crochet across, 2 single crochet in last stitch, chain 1, turn (4)
3) 2 single crochet in first stitch, single crochet across, 2 single crochet in last stitch, chain 1, turn (6)
4) 2 single crochet in first stitch, single crochet across, 2 single crochet in last stitch, chain 1, turn (8)
5) 2 single crochet in first stitch, single crochet across, 2 single crochet in last stitch, chain 1, turn. (10)
6-12) Single crochet across, chain 1, turn
13) decrease, single crochet across, decrease, chain 1, turn (8)
14) decrease, single crochet across, decrease, chain 1, turn (6)
15) decrease, single crochet across, decrease, chain 1, turn (4)
16) decrease, chain 1, turn (2)
17) decrease, end off.
18) single crochet around football with 3 single crochet in bottom and top of football
19) With white yarn, make several straight stitches in rows 3 and 15.
20) In center of football, make 3 straight stitches centered on football, and small straight stitches across for lacing.
21) Optional: sew on pinback on back of football, being sure to attach the football to the card with double faced tape.
Card
1) Cut football scrapbook paper to fit card and tape with double-sided tabs.
2) Adhere football wording to card.
If you are attaching a pinback to the football, use double-sided tabs to attach to card. Otherwise, you can glue football to card.
